First Day of Classes

So, as some may already know, I work at a state college as a classroom technician. We haven’t really had onsite classes with students for about two months.

Tuesday was the start of the spring semester and the resumption of classes on campus. And it’s been so wonderful to have actual people around! Yes, I’ve had coworkers and staff around, but the buildings just felt empty.

There were plenty of things that went wrong (in small ways) because the school was created and is run by humans, but my coworkers did AWESOME while dealing with them!

Things are getting better!

Recent Fun at Work

So, I work as a classroom technician at a college in central Utah. It’s a bit of a change from trucking LOL! My job entails quite a diverse set of tasks.

I’ve only been here for about six months now and I’m still learning a lot. I was assigned to swap out a whole bunch of equipment in one of the classrooms for new equipment and to do some cable management. I’m including before and after pics below 😉

So, we got rid of an entire rack of older equipment, we simplified everything, we got the wiring sorted and tamed, and everything will be much easier to work on in the future. Things are looking up 😎
